Kasdi Maroc was out of position in the 10 minute of play, and Artemio Nikola capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Artemio Nikola really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Ahmed Bouazza fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Adelphi FC's protests and gave Ahmed Bouazza a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Adelphi FC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed Bouazza. After a defensive mix-up in JAMHURIYA's zone, Abd al-Aziz Brahami stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Bouguerra came out of the goal and Abd al-Aziz Brahami tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kasdi Maroc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Nikola in the 19th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Hamid Hamruche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Adelphi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JAMHURIYA the free kick. After a rather tough play, Adelphi FC's Hamid Hamruche got a free kick in the 25th minute. Kasdi Maroc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Peixoto in the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juninho Peixoto got free with Kasdi Maroc in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kasdi Maroc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Abd al-Aziz Brahami struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Mohamed Bouguerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adelphi FC. After 37 played minutes Juninho Peixoto could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-0 into the left cross. Juninho Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasdi Maroc having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Chadli Karim Belkassem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohamed Bouguerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamid Hamruche, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes JAMHURIYA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amar Moussa who took care of the corner kick. Adelphi FC's Mustapha Kouri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mohamed Bouguerra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juninho Peixoto made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Krim Moussa made a precise shot to the right of Kasdi Maroc. Adelphi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. JAMHURIYA's Lounès Djebar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rabah Zéroual in the 56 minute of the game. After 58 minutes of play Adelphi FC's Hamid Hamruche was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of JAMHURIYA booed when Adelphi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamid Hamruche didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Chadli Karim Belkassem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohamed Bouguerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Chadli Karim Belkassem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adelphi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chadli Karim Belkassem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. JAMHURIYA's Mohamed Bouguerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chadli Karim Belkassem in the 89th minute of play. Abd al-Aziz Brahami recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adelphi FC's Abd al-Aziz Brahami got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adelphi FC's Kasdi Maroc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Nikola in the 96th minute of play.
