Abdel Hamid Chaouchi scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cheb Meniri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abdel Hamid Chaouchi succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Merrionette's Cheb Meniri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdel Hamid Chaouchi in the 18th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Poplar Bluff AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rafik Bentifour. 24 minutes into the match, Merrionette's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Estavan came free, but Cheb Meniri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noureddine Cohen was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Poplar Bluff AFC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Poplar Bluff AFC's Abdel Hamid Chaouchi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Abdel Hamid Chaouchi scored 0-4 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cheb Meniri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cheb Meniri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dawid Konopka went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Ove Eliasson made a kick off. Merrionette's Noureddine Cohen got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Noureddine Cohen off the ground. After 52 played minutes Merrionette got a freekick which was hit by Noureddine Cohen. Cheb Meniri came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Poplar Bluff AFC's Hocine Oussalah. But to his dismay, Hocine Oussalah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. 63 minutes into the match, Merrionette's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Estavan came free, but Cheb Meniri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Eskuin Izaguirre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merrionette's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poplar Bluff AFC the free kick. The supporters of Poplar Bluff AFC booed when Merrionette was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eskuin Izaguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hocine Oussalah got free with Cheb Meniri in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merrionette's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Ricardo Estavan scored to the left of an out of position Cheb Meniri, making the score, 0-7. In the 69th minute, Hocine Oussalah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poplar Bluff AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdel Hamid Chaouchi in the 72nd minute of play forced Merrionette's goalkeeper Cheb Meniri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdel Hamid Chaouchi charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdel Hamid Chaouchi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th match minute, Poplar Bluff AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdel Hamid Chaouchi to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Merrionette's Cheb Meniri got control of the ball when Ricardo Estavan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Ricardo Estavan notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Merrionette's Cheb Meniri. Cheb Meniri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cheb Meniri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdel Hamid Chaouchi in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Eskuin Izaguirre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Abdel Hamid Chaouchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cheb Meniri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ricardo Estavan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 89 minute of play. In the 94th minute Abdel Hamid Chaouchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheb Meniri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poplar Bluff AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
