The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Irving Prater fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kingdom come's protests and gave Irving Prater a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of GALATASARAY SK booed when Kingdom come was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irving Prater didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kingdom come's Clarence Sullivan has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY SK's Herbert Hurd got a free kick in the 7th minute. Casey Locke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Kurtis Capps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind GALATASARAY SK's goalkeeper Kurtis Capps, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th match minute, GALATASARAY SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Lepage to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY SK's zone, Efren Sewell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurtis Capps came out of the goal and Efren Sewell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casey Locke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Efren Sewell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Efren Sewell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY SK's Kurtis Capps was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurtis Capps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Locke in the 20th minute of the match. Kurtis Capps came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Kingdom come's Efren Sewell. But to his dismay, Efren Sewell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of GALATASARAY SK booed when Kingdom come was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Hobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes, GALATASARAY SK's Patrick Lepage shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Allan Dickens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GALATASARAY SK reached it. Allan Dickens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnabé Cruz in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to GALATASARAY SK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Kennith Nance hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efren Sewell in the 33rd minute of play forced GALATASARAY SK's goalkeeper Kurtis Capps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Barnabé Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GALATASARAY SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnabé Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kurtis Capps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efren Sewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Kingdom come's goalkeeper Allan Dickens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clyde Aponte. Noe Godfrey's late challenge caught a Kingdom come's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Noe Godfrey helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kingdom come booed when GALATASARAY SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noe Godfrey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clyde Aponte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Allan Dickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Kingdom come were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Barnabé Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Efren Sewell's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efren Sewell helped the player get up and apologised. Dominique Brousse hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Barnabé Cruz took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Dickens. Allan Dickens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Efren Sewell might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurtis Capps. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efren Sewell ran back to his position shaking his head. Efren Sewell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Kurtis Capps when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kurtis Capps was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Casey Locke showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 78 minute of play. Jake Thorne kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Efren Sewell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingdom come's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efren Sewell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Casey Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kingdom come's supporters rose to their feet, but Casey Locke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurtis Capps breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The GALATASARAY SK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kingdom come's performance. The match ended with a win for Kingdom come.
