When Hurricanes FC's Antonia Merrill in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vauquelin CN's goalie prevented a goal. When Antonia Merrill came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Hurricanes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonia Merrill couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the game, Gilles Butler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vauquelin CN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hurricanes FC the free kick. Gilles Butler hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Hurricanes FC's Elwood Keys broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Antonia Merrill received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marc Larivière came out and tried to block the shot, but Antonia Merrill slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. Marc Larivière took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonia Merrill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Pete Mobley put in a rough tackle. After 24 played minutes Hurricanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Pete Mobley. Dalton Hines took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wally Delgado. Hurricanes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Glen Dickson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Marc Larivière tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glen Dickson struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Marc Larivière didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurricanes FC. Marc Larivière showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Félix Lacroix, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th play minute Charles McKinney came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marc Larivière. 4-0. Félix Lacroix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Larivière having to interfere. Félix Lacroix was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Hurricanes FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Glen Dickson might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marc Larivière. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glen Dickson ran back to his position shaking his head. Vauquelin CN's Marc Larivière played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glen Dickson in the 42nd minute of play. Glen Dickson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Larivière having to interfere. Granville Askew charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Granville Askew the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Vauquelin CN's zone, Félix Lacroix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marc Larivière came out of the goal and Félix Lacroix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Hurricanes FC's Glen Dickson got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vauquelin CN's zone, Glen Dickson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marc Larivière came out of the goal and Glen Dickson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Larivière made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Dickson in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Félix Lacroix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Larivière saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles McKinney took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marc Larivière. Marc Larivière dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Santos Allison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vauquelin CN's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Allison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wally Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hurricanes FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
