With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lott in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Boone saved Varennes from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Mariano Lott managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.S.M. Resita's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Boone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurice Odonnell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Garrett Gladu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Goudreau went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Varennes's Bernardo Goudreau got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, C.S.M. Resita's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Goudreau came free, but Garrett Gladu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to C.S.M. Resita getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mariano Lott hit a great ball. Varennes's Hong Mosher was substituted for Ward Houde. Mariano Lott hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Chong Lamontagne came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on C.S.M. Resita's corner Lorenzo Ott fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gilberto Boone quite easily take care of the ball. Mariano Lotts short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Gilberto Boone to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juliusz Szostak in the 81st minute of play. Maurice Odonnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Garrett Gladu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89thth minute of the game Maurice Odonnell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.S.M. Resita's Garrett Gladu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Maurice Odonnell came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Varennes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Odonnell couldn't finish the play. Garrett Gladu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurice Odonnell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Titus Pineda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varennes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Varennes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
