When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Man Holliday sped through C.S.M. Resita's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Garrett Gladu. Mavrudi Tanov kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, CF Tétraultville's Seth Rhodes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garrett Gladu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lott in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Villaspasa saved CF Tétraultville from getting behind. Mavrudi Tanov kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the match Lorenzo Ott sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matias Villaspasa skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to C.S.M. Resita getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Mariano Lott hit a great ball. Matias Villaspasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juliusz Szostak in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lott got free with Matias Villaspasa in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 played minutes C.S.M. Resita got a freekick which was hit by Chong Lamontagne. In the 32nd minute, Erasmo Mooney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Mariano Lott left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.S.M. Resita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Chong Lamontagne scored 2-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Villaspasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in CF Tétraultville's zone, Juliusz Szostak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Villaspasa came out of the goal and Juliusz Szostak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Chong Lamontagne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Villaspasa. CF Tétraultville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chong Lamontagne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 47 minutes into the match, CF Tétraultville's goalkeeper Matias Villaspasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chong Lamontagne.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lott was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Juliusz Szostak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Villaspasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
