Kirk Lafond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lothaire Maddox in the 8th minute of play. Sven Van Ghele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquis Frank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lothaire Maddox received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kirk Lafond came out and tried to block the shot, but Lothaire Maddox slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Sven Van Ghele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Brochu in the 15th minute of play. Sven Van Ghele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Brochu in the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes of play, Club Atlético Lanús's Lothaire Maddox made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kirk Lafond was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to DOE FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. David Brochu hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Marquis Frank came free, but Sven Van Ghele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirk Lafond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murray Schmitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lothaire Maddox in the 27th minute of play forced DOE FC's goalkeeper Kirk Lafond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Sidney Cavazos took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Kirk Lafond to make any attempt to save it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antwan Gallagher made a kick off. After 50 played minutes Club Atlético Lanús got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Stafford. Sven Van Ghele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antwan Gallagher in the 51st minute of the match. Sven Van Ghele stood somewhat misplaced when Antwan Gallagher came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 52 minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lothaire Maddox in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kirk Lafond saved DOE FC from getting behind. Sven Van Ghele didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DOE FC.
