John England kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Diego Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anfilogino Amicone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tao Xi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fatsali Bedirhan in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Toronto Marlies FC got a corner. After 23 minutes of play, Toronto Marlies FC's Ernesto Nafarroa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tao Xi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gavino Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toronto Marlies FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavino Aguirre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tao Xi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anfilogino Amicone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Lopes in the 31st minute of play. Tao Xi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Aguirre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toronto Marlies FC's Anfilogino Amicone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Trudeau in the 35th minute of play. Kelly Pearson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Toronto Marlies FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Anfilogino Amicone had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Alican İçten's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Alican İçten scored 2-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anfilogino Amicone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Berkowitz to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavino Aguirre to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gavino Aguirre in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tao Xi saved Flames FC from getting behind. When Alican İçten came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Flames FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alican İçten couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the game, Camille Trudeau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Anfilogino Amicone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flames FC's goalkeeper Tao Xi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute Gavino Aguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tao Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Toronto Marlies FC's Anfilogino Amicone got control of the ball when Alican İçten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anfilogino Amicone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camille Trudeau's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Toronto Marlies FC's Gavino Aguirre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tao Xi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anfilogino Amicone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Tyson Renaud struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Tao Xi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toronto Marlies FC. Flames FC made a substitution. Gilberto Stafford replaced Alican İçten. Toronto Marlies FC's Daniel Passarelli was substituted for Gino Goldstein. After having played for 79 minutes, João Vítor de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flames FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Vítor de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Lopes hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A collision led to Flames FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Diego Lopes hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Fatsali Bedirhan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tao Xi skillfully saved the ball. In the 86th minute, Fredrick Abrams left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Toronto Marlies FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 90 minutes into the match, Flames FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrick Abrams came free, but Tao Xi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Diego Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toronto Marlies FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
