With a little luck, Real Potosí's Gilen Abeitia got control of the ball when Laércio de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neron Abastas might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geronimo Rulli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neron Abastas ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Real Potosí's Gilen Abeitia got control of the ball when Laércio de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neron Abastas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Geronimo Rulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carter Di Fazio in the 29th minute of play forced Real Potosí's goalkeeper Gilen Abeitia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Internacional booed when Real Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Quinteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Internacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zigor Abeita to maneuver through the defense. Internacional's Geronimo Rulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldemer Camarasa in the 35th minute of play. Laércio de Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilen Abeitia having to make a save. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Gustavo Quinteros with Duarte Abarca as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Neron Abastas to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Etxahun Abastas hit a great ball. Real Potosí's Gilen Abeitia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio de Andrade in the 53rd minute of play. Carter Di Fazio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Laércio de Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilen Abeitia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Laércio de Andrade sped through Real Potosí's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilen Abeitia. Gilen Abeitia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carter Di Fazio in the 68th minute of the match. Neron Abastass short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Geronimo Rulli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Real Potosí's Filipo Abancens was substituted for Cilio Abeita. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Internacional's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Quinteros was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Potosí's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Real Potosí booed when Internacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hassan Tshabalala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neron Abastas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Rulli having to interfere. Real Potosí made a substitution. Marques Abenda replaced Neron Abastas. If Laércio de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Real Potosí's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
