Cristóbal Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Antonio Ubilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee ignored Curicó-Unido's protests and gave Alexandre Matamala a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Israel Amunátegui to make the kick off. Cristóbal Campos made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alexandre Matamala sent off a good shot on target. 53 minutes into the game, Juan Antonio Ubilla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristóbal Campos. Juan Antonio Ubilla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Orlondón Marileo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Álvaro Zambujal in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Curicó-Unido were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
