In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Llucura's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Lameirinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos González, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Gaviria in the 22nd minute of play forced Curicó-Unido's goalkeeper Manuel Lameirinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Lameirinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Patterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Manuel Lameirinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Patterson in the 33rd minute of the match. The wind increased when Darío Antipa made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Llucura got a freekick which was hit by Pepep Pepa. Manuel Lameirinhas came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Llucura's Thiago Gaviria. But to his dismay, Thiago Gaviria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. With a little luck, Curicó-Unido's Manuel Lameirinhas got control of the ball when Marco Patterson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Matamala, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Curicó-Unido's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Román Hoefler in the 62nd minute. After taking down the ball on Curicó-Unido's corner Román Hoefler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Barovero quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Llucura's zone, Juan Antonio Ubilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Barovero came out of the goal and Juan Antonio Ubilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Lameirinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Gaviria in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Curicó-Unido's Darío Antipa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Barovero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Llucura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliks Hajto to maneuver through the defense. Curicó-Unido's Eduardo Vargas was substituted for Darío Antipa. Curicó-Unido's Elías Albornoz was substituted for Juan Antonio Ubilla. After 74 played minutes Llucura got a freekick which was hit by Feliks Hajto. The referee showed Francisco Ignacio Valdés the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Curicó-Unido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Ignacio Valdés to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Thiago Gaviria could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Manuel Lameirinhas however easily saved by the left post.
