Spectators: 8610 (Terracing: 6458, Seating: 1980, VIP seats: 172) Francisco Alberto Zañartu made the kick off and thus started the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Assueko F.C.'s Valentino Basulto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iwan Grocholski. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. Valentino Basulto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Iwan Grocholski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zack Ericsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter White, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Walter White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zack Ericsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Assueko F.C.'s zone, Maxín Bacarreza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zack Ericsson came out of the goal and Maxín Bacarreza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zack Ericsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Alberto Zañartu in the 38th minute of play. Iwan Grocholski made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Brian Åkerberg sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brian Åkerberg to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Brian Åkerberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iwan Grocholski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Iwan Grocholski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentino Basulto in the 54th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berkan Berka during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Assueko F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Berkan Berka. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Åkerberg in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Hernán Restat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Assueko F.C. and the La Academia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Assueko F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernán Restat to maneuver through the defense. Assueko F.C.'s Anselmo Velin was substituted for Brian Åkerberg. After 62 played minutes Assueko F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Hernán Restat. In the 78th minute, Berkan Berka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Academia's Nemesio Marco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Zack Ericsson but with some difficulty. Francisco Alberto Zañartu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Zack Ericsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Velin in the 82nd minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes La Academia got a freekick which was hit by Gafur Onat. Assueko F.C. were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after La Academia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Don Pico took the corner. After 87th play minutes Octavian Prepelitã shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Iwan Grocholski and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Mörður Filt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Assueko F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mörður Filt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwan Grocholski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the La Academia defense, Anselmo Velin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iwan Grocholski. The La Academia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iwan Grocholski should have stopped the shot. Assueko F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
