With a little luck, Bataipora AD's Enéas Arce got control of the ball when Kauan Zonta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enéas Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Vargas in the 11th minute of play. Bataipora AD's Yuri Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Breno Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Régis Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breno Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Ceresso having to interfere. Régis Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Pimenta in the 28th minute of play. Kauan Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A long shot from Osmar Valadares in the 33rd minute of play was well struck, but Enéas Arce made a really good save at the right post. Kauan Zonta struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Enéas Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E Galo Vermelho. S.E Galo Vermelho's Kauan Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Breno Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilmar Sá's late challenge caught a Bataipora AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilmar Sá helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bataipora AD booed when S.E Galo Vermelho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the game's 43rd minute Bataipora AD's Luiz Dante took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Régis Ceresso and thus the score was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breno Pimenta to make the kick off. A collision led to S.E Galo Vermelho getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ediberto Simões hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Virgílio Batista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Virgílio Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
