Durval da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Dedê Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Edmílson Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington Meira hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Dedê Rosa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dedê Rosa was the one to do the kick off. It was beautiful to see S.E. Vídeo Park FMZ's Celso Ceresso in action when he in the 53rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Meira in the 59th minute of play forced EC JUVENTUDE's goalkeeper Durval da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, S.E. Vídeo Park FMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Rosa came free, but Edmílson Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dedê Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, S.E.
