The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match, Alessandro Oliveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedrão Costa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 5 minutes into the game, Pocoyo FC's Alessandro Oliveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedrão Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Proença in the 9th minute of play forced Pocoyo FC's goalkeeper Dalmo Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Dalmo Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Floresta Club booed when Pocoyo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Floresta Club's Pedrão Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Rezende in the 14th minute of play. Beto Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rodolfo Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floresta Club's protests and gave Rodolfo Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Floresta Club got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Arantes. In the 23rd minute, Rodolfo Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuca Rezendes short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Pedrão Costa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 27 minutes of play Floresta Club's Rodolfo Arantes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Alessandro Oliveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedrão Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Alessandro Oliveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedrão Costa. The goal made the score 2-0. Samuca Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Costa having to interfere. Alessandro Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Samuca Rezende came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Pocoyo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Rezende couldn't finish the play. 3-0 became the score in the 48th minute when Samuca Rezende elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuca Rezende to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Floresta Club defense, Alessandro Oliveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrão Costa. The Floresta Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrão Costa should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuca Rezende in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrão Costa saved Floresta Club from getting behind. Frederico Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Tarcisio Tepedino was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pedrão Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Rezende in the 71st minute of the match. Beto Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuca Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuca Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pocoyo FC's Samuca Rezende got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Tarcisio Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Pocoyo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcisio Tepedino couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Floresta Club getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Basílio Sousa hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Samuca Rezende in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Alessandro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Leal having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pocoyo FC's Adrianinho Abreu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuca Rezende in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedrão Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Floresta Club's Pedrão Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Rezende in the 92nd minute of play. Basílio Sousa hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Pocoyo FC's Tarcisio Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuca Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Costa having to interfere.
