Passarinhos's Telmo Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Passarinhos from getting a goal against them. In the 36th match minute, Floresta Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Floresta Club's Pedrão Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Madureira in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Madureira in the 43rd minute of play forced Floresta Club's goalkeeper Pedrão Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Vivaldo Madureira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Pedrão Costa made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Floresta Club's goalkeeper Pedrão Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vivaldo Madureira. If Geovânio Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiaguinho Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Costa having to interfere. Pedrão Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Baptista in the 74th minute of play. Geovânio Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Telmo Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Passarinhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floresta Club the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Passarinhos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Floresta Club:s goal. The Passarinhos players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Floresta Club from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
