Christian Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Lúcio Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan da Silva having to interfere. Renan da Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauan Lucas's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Ezequiel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar de Carvalho having to make a save. Lúcio Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lúcio Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as San Pauli FC's Kauan Lucas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Renan da Silva. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Renan da Silva successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lúcio Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan da Silva having to interfere. Renan da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Montenegro in the 47th minute of play forced San Pauli FC's goalkeeper Edgar de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Betinho Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Renan da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. San Pauli FC's Edgar de Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save San Pauli FC from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute, Christian Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, San Pauli FC's Tiago Gabriel Gerber tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 63 minutes, Lúcio Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Pauli FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezequiel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Edgar de Carvalho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edgar de Carvalho didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 68th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Ezequiel Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Edgar de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Betinho Cardoso reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edgar de Carvalho. The goal made the score 1-3. Betinho Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Edgar de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Betinho Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betinho Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 96 minutes into the game, Oséias Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hellcife FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Pauli FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hellcife FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hellcife FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
