After 3 minutes, Rafael Valle made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. DIAMONDS's Mathias Guimarães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charles Marquez in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mathias Guimarães saved DIAMONDS from getting behind. Rafael Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Mathias Guimarães made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Osvaldo Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathias Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DIAMONDS! Otávio Massa placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Vivaldo Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vivaldo Schmidt made a kick off. Rafael Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Guimarães having to interfere. Mathias Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Edgard Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Cruz having to interfere. A collision led to ATOS FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Abel Meira hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, DIAMONDS's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Marquez came free, but Mathias Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Valle took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathias Guimarães. After 96 minutes, Osvaldo Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIAMONDS and the ATOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ATOS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the DIAMONDS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ATOS FC.
