Spectators: 7173 (Terracing: 5386, Seating: 1645, VIP seats: 142) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donato de Senna took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 13th minute of the match, Donato de Senna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Romeu Dionísio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tomás de Salles's late challenge caught a Guerreiros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás de Salles helped the player get up and apologised. Tomás de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Natanael Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natanael Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Eusébio Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natanael Tavares. Guerreiros FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rafa Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Maroins EC's Romeu Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato de Senna in the 28th minute of play. Perivaldo Aparecido took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeu Dionísio. Romeu Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Eusébio de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Dionísio having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo Aparecido got free with Romeu Dionísio in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredinho Gomes during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Maroins EC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Gomes. If Eusébio Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio de Brito hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Pedro Paulo Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Paulo Brodel to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Eusébio Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Eusébio Pinheiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Natanael Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Donato de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Maroins EC's zone, Perivaldo Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu Dionísio came out of the goal and Perivaldo Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 70 minutes, Ulisses Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guerreiros FC and the Maroins EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Guerreiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Azevedo. When Ulisses Azevedo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. Maroins EC's Eusébio Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Maroins EC's Pedro Paulo Brodel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Natanael Tavares. That made the score 1-3 after 87 minutes of play. Donato de Senna scored 2-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romeu Dionísio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Guerreiros FC's zone, Pedro Paulo Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natanael Tavares came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
