Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chiquinho Seco got the match started through his kick off. Chiquinho Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiquinho Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Chiquinho Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gaviaozinho FC! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elivélton Meireles during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gaviaozinho FC booed when Chateaubriand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Rossi made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when William Andrade sent off a good shot on target. Gaviaozinho FC's Juan Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Bueno in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Gaviaozinho FC booed when Chateaubriand was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chateaubriand's zone, Chiquinho Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Rossi came out of the goal and Chiquinho Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. William Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Isaltino Rossi made a huge save. Juan Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Pena kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gaviaozinho FC's Maurinho Koehler shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Isaltino Rossi but with some difficulty. Gaviaozinho FC's William Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isaltino Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Andrade in the 38th minute. Isaltino Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Vítor Bueno in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Sanches saved Gaviaozinho FC from getting behind. Chiquinho Marinho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Juan Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chateaubriand. After the first half Chateaubriand were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when João Vítor Bueno made the kick off in the second half. If William Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vítor Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Elivélton Meireles got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 58th minute, Elivélton Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaltino Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Seco in the 61st minute of play. Chiquinho Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Sanches made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Chiquinho Marinho sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute William Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaviaozinho FC's William Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Gaviaozinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Seco. Isaltino Rossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chiquinho Seco's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. If William Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Sanches's late challenge caught a Gaviaozinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Sanches helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes Chateaubriand got a freekick which was hit by Erik Sanches. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Andrade in the 93rd minute of play forced Chateaubriand's goalkeeper Isaltino Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes of play, Chateaubriand's Chiquinho Marinho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chateaubriand eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
