The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcinho Quintal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Germano Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Trigo. Avahy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Germano Vinhas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Alberto Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Germano Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Davi Senna elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Vitório da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avahy's protests and gave Vitório da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Vitório da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Dread Terror getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Wilfredo Cordario hit a great ball. Dread Terror's Marcinho Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Senna in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Davi Senna sped through Dread Terror's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcinho Quintal. Germano Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 45th play minute Germano Vinhas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alberto Trigo. 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davi Senna was the one to do the kick off. Vitório da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Avahy's Adilson Corrêa seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Adilson Corrêa the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Avahy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adilson Corrêa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Avahy! Andrézinho Peixoto got a throw-in 75 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Nando Mello. Germano Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Alberto Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dread Terror. In the 80th minute, Wilfredo Cordario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Vitório da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes Avahy got a freekick which was hit by Jano Queirós. In the 97th minute Germano Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
