Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rafa Marquez took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Santana in the 3rd minute of play forced Laguinho's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the game, LOS BAIANOS's Rafa Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Gustavo de Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gláuber Santana in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Gustavo de Souza saved Laguinho from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in LOS BAIANOS's zone, Rômulo Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Pirani came out of the goal and Rômulo Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. LOS BAIANOS's Rafa Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Gustavo de Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafa Marquez's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. If Rômulo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Marquez in the 34th minute of play forced Laguinho's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Rafa Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, LOS BAIANOS's goalkeeper Conrado Pirani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agnaldo Fernandez. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rômulo Moura to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Laguinho's André Quadros got a free kick in the 54th minute. Olívio Britto didn't quite understand what happened when in the 55 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After having played for 57 minutes, Rafa Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LOS BAIANOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafa Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alberto Secco fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LOS BAIANOS's protests and gave Alberto Secco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute, Alberto Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Pirani. LOS BAIANOS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agnaldo Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. César de Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed César de Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes LOS BAIANOS got a freekick which was hit by César de Amaral. Conrado Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agnaldo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Rômulo Moura took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conrado Pirani. Conrado Pirani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. A hard shot 89 in the game by Gláuber Santana from a close distance when the talented Luiz Gustavo de Souza managed to make a qualified save. Laguinho's players were relieved. In the 91st minute, Rômulo Moura made a precise shot to the right of Conrado Pirani. LOS BAIANOS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. The Laguinho fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Laguinho's Rômulo Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Laguinho had won after a very even match.
