Felipe Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nazareno EC's Edmundo Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmundo Duarte during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes Nazareno EC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Duarte. A collision led to Nazareno EC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Adriano Catarinense hit a great ball. Breno Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Antonini, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Borussia Steel F.C's Matheus Meireles got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, one of Borussia Steel F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Borussia Steel F.C. The goalkeeper, Cristiano das Neves, was totally fooled by Nazareno EC's Belmiro Pena, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Matheus Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia Steel F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Matheus Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breno Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Borussia Steel F.C booed when Nazareno EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Gabriel Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Breno Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zézinho Custódio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiago Gabriel Travassos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Breno Ceresso made a huge save. In the 58th minute Zézinho Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Felipe Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano das Neves was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute Zézinho Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Tiago Gabriel Travassos sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, Nazareno EC's goalkeeper Breno Ceresso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Gabriel Travassos. Nazareno EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Amedeo Antonini scored to the left of an out of position Breno Ceresso, making the score, 1-4. Borussia Steel F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
