Gugu Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 8th match minute, OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Danilo Linares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gugu Pena. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Agnaldo Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Pena having to interfere. FC WASH FUTEBOL CLUBE's Durvalino Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gugu Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernani Pena was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Abelardo Netto put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ernani Pena. Eurico Velasco's late challenge caught a OFF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eurico Velasco helped the player get up and apologised. Gugu Pena was a little too slow when Durvalino Lopez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 3-2. With his leg Gugu Pena managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when FC WASH FUTEBOL CLUBE's Durvalino Lopez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gugu Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Linares to make the kick off. Gugu Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Linares in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Lopez in the 56th minute of play forced OFF's goalkeeper Gugu Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Netto in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernani Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 61 minutes of play, FC WASH FUTEBOL CLUBE's Tadeu Santos made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gugu Pena was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Eurico Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 minutes of play FC WASH FUTEBOL CLUBE's Eurico Velasco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to FC WASH FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Eurico Velasco hit a great ball. If Abelardo Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC WASH FUTEBOL CLUBE were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of OFF for a fine match.
