In the 3rd minute, Wilian Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cláudio Vides stood somewhat misplaced when Fiori Vargas came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 4 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Vargas in the 12th minute of play forced Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Zé Carlos Azevedo lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Cláudio Vides. In the 27th minute Fiori Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Velloso hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Zé Carlos Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Zé Carlos Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fiori Vargas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cláudio Vides came out and tried to block the shot, but Fiori Vargas slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilian Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Vargas came free, but Cláudio Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's Donato Velloso managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Romeu Senna in the 56 minute of the game. Olívio Amorim had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Wilian Costa from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Cláudio Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Azevedo in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Wilian Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Fênix FC the free kick. Zé Carlos Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Vides having to interfere. Cláudio Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Vargas in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Atlético Fênix FC were awarded a corner. Fiori Vargas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Atlético Fênix FC's Adhemar Antunes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's Cláudio Vides played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Vargas in the 84th minute of play. Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's Donato Velloso quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Romeu Senna, made in the 89th minute of the game. When Zé Carlos Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Atlético Fênix FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Atlético Fênix FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
