Saguoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Metegelo de Piracicaba FC the free kick. The supporters of Saguoes booed when Metegelo de Piracicaba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saguoes's Gilberto Melo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. Eurico Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Cláudio Vides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico Batista in the 99th minute. The Saguoes players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Metegelo de Piracicaba FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
