Danilo Salles came out of the goal and Celsinho Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Arthur de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Dante was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Celsinho Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Pimenta got free with Danilo Salles in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, MENGÃOF.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Alagoano came free, but Carlos Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Juvenal Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of MENGÃOF.C. booed when Tabajara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egídio Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. João Vítor Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Salles having to interfere. Egídio Branco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Dante. MENGÃOF.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cássio Alcântara's late challenge caught a Tabajara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celsinho Pimenta to make the kick off. If Celsinho Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Dante made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Zé Massa sent off a good shot on target. Alex Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Danilo Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Pinho in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Pimenta in the 78th minute of play forced Tabajara's goalkeeper Danilo Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to MENGÃOF.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Juvenal Nascimento hit a great ball. Danilo Salles came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by MENGÃOF.C.'s João Vítor Pinho. But to his dismay, João Vítor Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in MENGÃOF.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! MENGÃOF.C.:s Carlos Dante showed great skill when he stopped Andrézinho de Souza:s penalty. MENGÃOF.C.'s Cássio Alcântara got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Cássio Alcântara off the ground. Cássio Alcântara hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The Tabajara players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented MENGÃOF.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
