João Vítor Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dinei Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Saguoes got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Batista. After 23 played minutes Saguoes got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Berger. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celsinho Pimenta in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dinei Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eurico Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Cerezo in the 31st minute of play. Carlos Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eurico Batista's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Eurico Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MENGÃOF.C.'s Carlos Dante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Armindo da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Carlos Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eurico Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico Batista got free with Carlos Dante in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celsinho Pimenta in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinei Arruda saved Saguoes from getting behind. 1-2 became the score in the 62nd minute when Eurico Batista elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Armindo da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 played minutes MENGÃOF.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Mota. Armindo da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 78 in the game by Eurico Batista from a close distance when the talented Carlos Dante managed to make a qualified save. MENGÃOF.C.'s players were relieved. Dinei Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes, Baltazar Veloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MENGÃOF.C. and the Saguoes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Baltazar Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, MENGÃOF.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Armindo da Costa came free, but Carlos Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind MENGÃOF.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Armindo da Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Dante. Armindo da Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3.
