The supporters of CorinGunners F.C. booed when Goiânia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio Vaz got free with Jorge Campos in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aílton Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Elói Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Celsinho Sabóia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elói Senna. CorinGunners F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celsinho Sabóia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tarcisio Vaz to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes CorinGunners F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Falcão. Humberto Baiano hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Dedê Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Elói Senna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Goiânia FC were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after CorinGunners F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aílton Novaes took the corner. Celsinho Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Senna having to interfere. Elói Senna came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Goiânia FC's Aílton Novaes. But to his dismay, Aílton Novaes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 73 played minutes Goiânia FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Costa. Samuel Vander's late challenge caught a CorinGunners F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 75th minute of the match Cássio Porto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Campos skillfully saved the ball. Goiânia FC's Jorge Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Quintal in the 77th minute of play. Jeferson Lara took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elói Senna. Elói Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 85th minute, Dedê Fernandez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elói Senna. The goal made the score 0-4. Celsinho Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CorinGunners F.C.'s Nestor Vides quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Humberto Baiano, made in the 91st minute of the game. Goiânia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
