Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dorival Fontes took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute, Jorginho Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ezequiel Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Barros having to interfere. Kauan de Castro made in the 9th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Toninho Figueiredo however managed to control. After 10 minutes, Dorival Fontes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Basu EC's Fabrício Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Basu EC's Fabrício Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Ceresso in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Fontes in the 19th minute of play forced Basu EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabrício Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Ceresso in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Jorginho Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martelão FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorginho Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dorival Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Basu EC's Fabrício Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Ceresso in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute Martelão FC were awarded a corner. Wanderson Mazza went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Wanderson Mazza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabrício Barros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dorival Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arlindo Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hortêncio Catarinense in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute Martelão FC were awarded a corner. Wanderson Mazza went to the cornerflag to take it. Fabrício Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Fontes in the 41st minute of play. Fernando Maranhense hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes Martelão FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Saldanha. The supporters of Basu EC booed when Martelão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hortêncio Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Santos having to interfere. A hard shot 58 in the game by Dorival Fontes from a close distance when the talented Fabrício Barros managed to make a qualified save. Basu EC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Basu EC's Fernando Maranhense got a free kick in the 59th minute. Fabrício Barros was a little too slow when Ezequiel Ceresso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-2. When Dorival Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Martelão FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival Fontes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Fontes in the 69th minute of play forced Basu EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorginho Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fabrício Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gil Prata fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basu EC's protests and gave Gil Prata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Basu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Prata to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Dorival Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martelão FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrício Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Zanette hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Martelão FC's zone, Gilson Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Santos came out of the goal and Gilson Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Basu EC's Fabrício Barros got control of the ball when Jorginho Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Basu EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Saldanha. In the 88th minute, Dorival Fontes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabrício Barros. The goal made the score 0-3. Basu EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Dorival Fontes scored to the left of an out of position Fabrício Barros, making the score, 0-4.
