Ulisses Porto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Star One Team booed when Atlético Piauiense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Star One Team's Tomás Sena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Gilberto Madeo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho de Sousa in the 18th minute of the match. Diego Erroman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Porto having to interfere. Atlético Piauiense's Ulisses Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Erroman in the 28th minute of play. Star One Team were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Atlético Piauiense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rony Esteves took the corner. The corner led Star One Team's Rony Esteves to fire away a dangerous shot which Ulisses Porto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Diego Erroman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulisses Porto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute, Star One Team's Tomás Sena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ulisses Porto. Ulisses Porto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Tomás Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ulisses Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Sena got free with Ulisses Porto in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Erroman made a kick off. Samuel Kruuse hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Dráusio Pombal from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Gilberto Madeo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Renatinho de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Piauiense's protests and gave Renatinho de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Atlético Piauiense got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho de Sousa. Diego Erroman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Diego Erroman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Star One Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 61 minutes into the match, Atlético Piauiense's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Sena came free, but Ulisses Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Erroman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Star One Team's Gilberto Madeo got control of the ball when Cleiton Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Diego Erroman came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Star One Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Erroman couldn't finish the play. Téo Santos struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ulisses Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Star One Team. In the 77th minute, Tomás Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Star One Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Tomás Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses Porto having to interfere. If Téo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute, Téo Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomás Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Diego Erroman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Porto was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Piauiense's goalkeeper Ulisses Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Star One Team's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
