The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Fabinho Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Amílton Castro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Star One Team's Gilberto Madeo. Gilberto Madeo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafinha Baptista made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Tomás Sena sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, Fabinho Velasco notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Star One Team's Gilberto Madeo. Gilberto Madeo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the game, Téo Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Star One Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabore EC the free kick. Téo Santos hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Diego Erroman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rafinha Baptista. The goal made the score 1-2. A sloppy throw-in by Cido Guedes in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Star One Team's Samuel Kruuse. In the 25th minute, Amílton Castro made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Madeo. Star One Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Rafinha Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Erroman, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Fabinho Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabore EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Star One Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tião Vander came free, but Gilberto Madeo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabinho Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Madeo having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Tomás Sena made a precise shot to the right of Rafinha Baptista. Cabore EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. In the 42nd minute Fabinho Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Madeo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Star One Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cabore EC were winning 2-4.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabinho Velasco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cabore EC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Zézinho Pernambucano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Paranaense in the 61st minute of play forced Star One Team's goalkeeper Gilberto Madeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Cabore EC got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Leite. Cabore EC's Rafinha Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Esteves in the 67th minute of play. After 69 minutes, Diego Erroman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Star One Team and the Cabore EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Diego Erroman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cabore EC booed when Star One Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabinho Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Madeo having to interfere. Tomás Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Cabore EC defense, Diego Erroman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafinha Baptista. The Cabore EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafinha Baptista should have stopped the shot. Rafinha Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Fabinho Velasco scored 3-5 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilberto Madeo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cabore EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
