In a very dangerous position, a player in DUCK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! Gui Joinvilense had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Luiz Fábio Dracena's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With 7 minutes on the clock, Leonel Lucas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Leonel Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gui Joinvilense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Anselmo Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Gui Joinvilense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Cavalcante hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. André Lopes struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gui Joinvilense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HeBr United. Gui Joinvilense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. HeBr United's Caetano Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Lopes in the 26th minute of play forced DUCK's goalkeeper Gui Joinvilense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anselmo Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes DUCK got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Freire. After having played for 43 minutes, Remo Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DUCK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remo Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remo Coutinho made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Valdemar Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gui Joinvilense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Anselmo Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Rocha in the 72nd minute of play forced DUCK's goalkeeper Gui Joinvilense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Nilmar Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. DUCK's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilmar Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Dionísio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute, HeBr United's Anselmo Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gui Joinvilense. Gui Joinvilense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. HeBr United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
