Fausto Amaral made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Hermínio França sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Messias in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fábio Corrêa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the game, Alfredão Bueno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castelo de Areia E.C. the free kick. 11 minutes into the game, Castelo de Areia E.C.'s Kauã Lago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Corrêa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Maia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Messias came free, but Fábio Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kléberson Silveira struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Fábio Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castelo de Areia E.C.. The crowd rose to their feet as Maia FC's Wilton Rocha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto Amaral. That made the score 1-1 after 18 minutes of play. William Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Castelo de Areia E.C. booed when Maia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Maia FC defense, Gabriel Messias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fábio Corrêa. The Maia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fábio Corrêa should have stopped the shot. After having played for 29 minutes, Gabriel Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castelo de Areia E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Gabriel Messias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fábio Corrêa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a rather tough play, Maia FC's Raúl Furtado got a free kick in the 36th minute. Marcus Zanette hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Maia FC's Fábio Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Messias in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maia FC's Alfredão Bueno got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Gabriel Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Fábio Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Maia FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Castelo de Areia E.C. were winning 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilton Rocha made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Messias in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fábio Corrêa saved Maia FC from getting behind. Maia FC's Alfredão Bueno got his second yellow card of the match in the 63rd minute. The referee ordered Alfredão Bueno off the ground. In the 64th minute, Alfredão Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Ribeiro hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Gabriel Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Zanette hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Fábio Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson Silveira in the 76th minute of the match. Gabriel Messias hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tony Ribeiro scored 3-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 87th minute Kléberson Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Messias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Kauã Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castelo de Areia E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Kauã Lago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Kauã Lago had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Corrêa. Maia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauã Lago was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. Castelo de Areia E.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
