But to his dismay, Germano Tepedino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Germano Tepedino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Arlindo Aguiar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rui Koehler kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Germano Tepedino in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arlindo Aguiar saved Rendenção EC from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Alex da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustão Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 90th match minute, Diabos Vermelhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes Diabos Vermelhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha Britto. After recieving a nice pass, Rendenção EC's Paulo José Camargo tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Rendenção EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
