With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Carlos Novaes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Kauan Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Carlos Novaes was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. If Kauan Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Eduardo Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Novaes having to interfere. Zé Carlos Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Eduardo Valle in the 19th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 21st minute when Raphael Prata elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Tipis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro de Brito to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Telmo Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Novaes having to interfere. Telmo Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Neto in the 49th minute of play. After the first half Tipis were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Telmo Silveira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raphael Prata showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 68 minute of play. When Belmiro Leal fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tipis's protests and gave Belmiro Leal a yellow card for diving instead. Belmiro Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Zé Carlos Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Carlos Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Luís Eduardo Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tipis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
