Virgílio Batista's late challenge caught a Garatuba SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a left leg Telmo Silveira saved Garatuba SS from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, Therezina's goal looked a bit too open when Kauan Carvalho came free, but Vitório Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfredo Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Manfredo Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Telmo Silveira. Garatuba SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3.
