In the 36th minute, Fernando Vargas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Américo Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Carlinhos Meireles was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Américo Vieira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Américo Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Rocha in the 78th minute of play. Patro F C's Naldo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enio Veiga struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Américo Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patro F C. Sílvio Luís Dracena hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. llans Football's attentive Eriberto Gerber managed to snatch the ball when Doni dos Santos made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. Alfredão Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Patro F C had played much better football throughout.
