Marasco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manoel Zonta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute, Armando Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Marasco getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fábio Amorim hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Antônio Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Jacinto in the 14th minute of play forced Marasco's goalkeeper Cafu de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marasco's Cafu de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho de Barros in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vilfes FC's zone, Yan Xi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Fernandes came out of the goal and Yan Xi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastião Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrés Talló, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Yan Xi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Acácio Vergílio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marasco's zone, Antônio Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu de Queiroz came out of the goal and Antônio Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lucas Cavalcante fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vilfes FC's protests and gave Lucas Cavalcante a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Lucas Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 minutes of play, Vilfes FC's Zézinho de Barros made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cafu de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho de Barros in the 40th minute of the match. After 42 minutes of play, Vilfes FC's Cristóvão Jacinto made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cafu de Queiroz came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Vilfes FC's Manoel Zonta. But to his dismay, Manoel Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zézinho de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the game, Sydney Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marasco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vilfes FC the free kick. A collision led to Marasco getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sydney Pires hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho de Barros got free with Cafu de Queiroz in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cafu de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Cristóvão Jacinto sent off a good shot on target. Cafu de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Zézinho de Barros sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute Cristóvão Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 played minutes Marasco got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Pires. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilfes FC's Zézinho de Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cafu de Queiroz. That made the score 1-5 after 68 minutes of play. Dorival Mota took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastião Fernandes. Sebastião Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. Andrés Talló scored 3-6 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Fernandes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cafu de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Jacinto in the 84th minute of the match. Dorival Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Fernandes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Jacinto in the 96th minute of play forced Marasco's goalkeeper Cafu de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Vilfes FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
