The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Lima was the one to do the kick off. Marasco's Cafu de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Marasco from getting a goal against them. Luís de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acácio Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís de Castro having to interfere. Vicente Lima showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. Dorival Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís de Castro having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Reducao walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
