Fabrício de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Tinoco having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Rio das Ostras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Barros thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Artur Tinoco, a very annoying self made goal in the 24th minute which led to 2-0. In the 29th minute, Vila Aurora FC's Acácio Vale ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Artur Tinoco. Artur Tinoco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When Acácio Vale came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Vila Aurora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Vale couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vila Aurora FC booed when Rio das Ostras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Palmkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vila Aurora FC's freekick was in a very dangerous position and Orlando Barros used this in the best possible way by corkscrewing a shot in 4-0 behind the goalkeeper. Ernesto Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Palmkvist in the 39th minute of play. If Fabrício de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Acácio Vale made a kick off. Fabrício de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 minutes of play, Vila Aurora FC's Acácio Vale made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Tinoco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Artur Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Acácio Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Aurora FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Acácio Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rio das Ostras FC's goalkeeper Artur Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rio das Ostras FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sílvio Luís Carneiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Vila Aurora FC's players had a chance to rest. Vila Aurora FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sílvio Luís Carneiro in the 86th minute. Vila Aurora FC's Ernesto Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Aurora FC from getting a goal against them. Artur Tinoco came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Aurora FC's Acácio Vale. But to his dismay, Acácio Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vila Aurora FC had played much better football throughout.
