The supporters of As de Ouro booed when MM g was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Motta in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, João Carlos Motta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuca Lara made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Gilvan Brito sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, As de Ouro's Pedro Augusto Matos got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Mathias Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Motta in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to MM g getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jean Paraense hit a great ball. Mathias Leme came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by As de Ouro's Serafim Messias. But to his dismay, Serafim Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gilvan Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuca Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Pedro Augusto Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuca Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. As de Ouro's Samuca Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Brito in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Gilvan Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
