Nando Pinho took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vivaldo Carvalho. Vivaldo Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jerônimo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Porto in the 7th minute of play. Nando Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Pinho in the 18th minute of play forced CUIABÁ EC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nando Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, Jonathan da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. CUIABÁ EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Jonathan da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Vivaldo Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nando Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vivaldo Carvalho came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Nitra FC's Nando Pinho. But to his dismay, Nando Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 31 played minutes CUIABÁ EC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Queirós. Jonathan da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vivaldo Carvalho came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Nitra FC's Nando Pinho. But to his dismay, Nando Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 42nd minute, Williams Ferrari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vivaldo Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Vivaldo Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Williams Ferrari in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Nitra FC were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilvan Porto to strike the kick off in the second half. Nando Pinho struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Vivaldo Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nitra FC. CUIABÁ EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jonathan da Cunha 52 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-7. Gogo Eneko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Carvalho having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Jonathan da Cunha put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. 74 minutes into the game, Williams Ferrari recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vivaldo Carvalho. Williams Ferrari showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. In the 78th minute, Nando Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 80 minutes of play, Nitra FC's Nando Pinho made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vivaldo Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Jonathan da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Nitra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan da Cunha couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the game, Carlos Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Vivaldo Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute Nitra FC were awarded a corner. Oliver Veentjer went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Jonathan da Cunha at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of CUIABÁ EC. 0-14. Nitra FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
