The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vivaldo Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urtsin Azcarate's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Urtsin Azcarate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorg Pieters in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes in the game Jairo Matorin did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to João Pedro de Queiroz. 25 minutes into the match, CUIABÁ EC's goal looked a bit too open when Urtsin Azcarate came free, but Vivaldo Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vivaldo Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Van Dijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Goblins F.C.'s Felipe Van Dijk in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vivaldo Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorg Pieters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jorg Pieters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goblins F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jorg Pieters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Van Dijk in the 39th minute of play forced CUIABÁ EC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the CUIABÁ EC defense, Jorg Pieters kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho. The CUIABÁ EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vivaldo Carvalho should have stopped the shot. Jorg Pieters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Carvalho having to interfere. In the 47th minute Osvaldo Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shen Yi Yuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Vivaldo Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Jorg Pieters sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Van Dijk in the 53rd minute of play forced CUIABÁ EC's goalkeeper Vivaldo Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorg Pieters scored 0-3 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vivaldo Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urtsin Azcarate, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Jorg Pieters's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Vivaldo Carvalho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vivaldo Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Van Dijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Jorg Pieters blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vivaldo Carvalho having to make a save. If Gilvan Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorg Pieters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Saraiva during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in CUIABÁ EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Walmyr Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Vivaldo Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorg Pieters in the 97th minute of the match. Goblins F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
