A collision led to Social Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Salles hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Carlos Fernando Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldinho de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelson da Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldinho de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. Nelson da Silveira came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by GUIRICEMA's Márcio Ramalho. But to his dismay, Márcio Ramalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Dorival Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. GUIRICEMA's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Dorival Trancoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson da Silveira. Social Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorival Trancoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Social Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Trancoso came free, but Nelson da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes GUIRICEMA got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Munhoz. Nelson da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Trancoso in the 29th minute of the match. When Vitinho Leme fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Nelson da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Márcio Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GUIRICEMA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Márcio Ramalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Márcio Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Fernando Salles got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dorival Trancoso took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson da Silveira. Nelson da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorival Trancoso to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Nelson da Silveira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 52 minutes into the match, Márcio Ramalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson da Silveira. Social Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Márcio Ramalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Social Futebol Clube's zone, Márcio Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson da Silveira came out of the goal and Márcio Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, GUIRICEMA's Márcio Ramalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Social Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Osvaldinho de Lara scored to the left of an out of position Nelson da Silveira, making the score, 0-7. With a little luck, Social Futebol Clube's Nelson da Silveira got control of the ball when Márcio Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Social Futebol Clube defense, Márcio Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson da Silveira. The Social Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson da Silveira should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Nelson da Silveira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Márcio Ramalho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nelson da Silveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Márcio Ramalho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho de Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson da Silveira. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Dorival Trancoso took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Nelson da Silveira to make any attempt to save it. Márcio Ramalho took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson da Silveira. Nelson da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-12.
