Genílson de Andrade took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelo Galvão. Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Itajaí Football Club's Rubens Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Marcelinho de Salles made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pirapitingui SC's Cristóvão Carioca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas Cosme made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Pirapitingui SC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho de Salles came free, but Cristóvão Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Marcelinho de Salles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Carioca was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Cristóvão Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Carioca in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Marcelinho de Salles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Cristóvão Carioca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 65 minutes of play, Itajaí Football Club's Marcelinho de Salles made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristóvão Carioca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tião Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Cosme in the 78th minute of play forced Itajaí Football Club's goalkeeper Marcelo Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho de Salles in the 79th minute of play. Pirapitingui SC's Cássio Neto suffered a sprained foot after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Raí Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raí Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd match minute, Itajaí Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Rossi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Marcelinho de Salles put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cristóvão Carioca. After having played for 91 minutes, Tião Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itajaí Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Carioca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristóvão Carioca came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Itajaí Football Club's Marcelinho de Salles. But to his dismay, Marcelinho de Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0.
