In the 28th match minute, Socanelas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Walmyr Barreto's late challenge caught a Treze CG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walmyr Barreto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Walmyr Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvaldo Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes Socanelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Tavares. After 41 minutes of play, Treze CG's Róbson de Andrade made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edvaldo Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The Treze CG fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Treze CG's Murilo de Toledo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edvaldo Tande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Félix in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Tanek Dziechciowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Socanelas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tanek Dziechciowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vintilă Dorineanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Walmyr Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Socanelas FC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbson de Andrade. When Róbson de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Treze CG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbson de Andrade couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, Socanelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson de Andrade came free, but Edvaldo Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvaldo Tande was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Róbson de Andrade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Róbson de Andrade really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Treze CG played a much better game than Socanelas FC and deserved their victory. The Socanelas FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
