The Ripway fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Ripway's Aílton Leme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Juarês Arantes came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ripway's Niculae Martinescu. But to his dismay, Niculae Martinescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Aílton Leme notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Santos futebol clube's Juarês Arantes. Juarês Arantes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the game, Hariharan Jagur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Juarês Arantes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ripway's Aílton Leme in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aílton Leme scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juarês Arantes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juarês Arantes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The wind increased when Aílton Leme made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Niculae Martinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juarês Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Ripway's Aílton Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juarês Arantes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 57thth minute of the game Niculae Martinescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos futebol clube's Juarês Arantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute Pedro Augusto Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juarês Arantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niculae Martinescu's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Juarês Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Aílton Leme in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Juarês Arantes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 82 minutes into the game, Niculae Martinescu lined in a short shot 0-9 behind a frustrated Juarês Arantes. Juarês Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hariharan Jagur in the 90th minute of play. Juarês Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Martinescu in the 92nd minute of the match. A hard shot by 曾亦飞 from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Juarês Arantes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
