After 6 minutes of play, Magnifico FC - FSCMZ's Amílton Oliveira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lilian Thuram charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lilian Thuram the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amílton Oliveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerônimo da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atacan Rahim to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Oliveira came free, but Jerônimo da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Monteiro in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Silvério Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
