An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Souza in the 21st minute of play forced Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paul Christini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Diego Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Christini. Edson Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Diego Souza shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The Edson Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Fontes came free, but Wiliam Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Diego Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Paul Christini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Souza. In the 76th minute, Oier Lopez de Toro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Christini. The goal made the score 0-2. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Juan Aleso was substituted for Diego Souza. In the 82nd minute Juan Aleso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Christini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiliam Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Karkantos in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Juan Aleso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Christini was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 93 minutes into the match, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Alim Karaman came free, but Wiliam Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Edson Futebol Clube's zone, Oier Lopez de Toro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Christini came out of the goal and Oier Lopez de Toro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Although Edson Futebol Clube had been in control for most of the match, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ still came away with the win.
